Sharon C. Stuart

Sharon Stuart, a shareholder in the firm, grew up in Newport News, VA. She holds a B.S. in Political Science and English from James Madison University and a J.D. from the University of Richmond Law School. During law school she advised the AFL-CIO during the 1998 legislative session as part of the University of Richmond Law School's externship. Prior to joining Boleman Law Firm in 2001, she practiced immigration law.

She has been admitted to the Virginia Supreme Court, U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of Virginia.

Her professional associations and membership include: Richmond Bar Association, Bankruptcy section of the Virginia State Bar, Metropolitan Richmond Women's Bar Association (where she currently serves as Secretary and member of the Judicial Endorsement Committee, and has served as the Legislative Chair for the past two bar years), and IWIRC.

She authored "Off the Beaten Path: Representing Consumer Debtors Two Years after BAPCPA" in the Winter 2008 edition of Docket Call the newsletter of the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar. She was a panel speaker at the 2005 Statewide Legal Aid Conference.

She volunteers her time to Housing Opportunities Made Equal during their Annual Friends of Home Breakfast event since 2006. In addition, she has participated with the Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) program.
